Gary Lineker will front the BBC’s FA Cup coverage on March 18, 2023, after the famous football host struck a deal with the broadcasting outfit.

Gary Lineker will cover the Manchester City match against Burnley and the Manchester United FA Cup encounter with Fulham.

The agreement will be announced on TV on March 14, 2023, following the mayhem caused by a Nazi tweet made by Lineker.

The row was triggered when the 62-year-old former Engand star responded to a video showing Home Secretary Suella Braverman as she presented “the small boat plan” to the government.

The plan will allow the government to quickly detain an immigrant for 28 days.

That didn’t sit well with Lineker, who called the plan awful. He also claimed the country received fewer refugees from other countries than other European countries.

Lineker stated that it is a cruel policy directed at vulnerable people and that it is not different from the one used by the Nazis in the 1930s.

The BBC reacted immediately to the statement, saying the pundit’s comment “breached” its guidelines.

Braverman also reacted to Lineker’s comments as offensive. She continued by saying that what happened during the Holocaust was different and inhuman compared to what is happening in
    the United Kingdom.

“A lot of people lost their life during the Holocaust period”, she argued.

However, there is likely to be an explosive row between the BBC and the Tory Party if the former England striker fails to apologize for his comment and also fails to abide by the impartiality rule in the future.

The Director General of the BBC, Tim Davie, has been under huge pressure to find solutions after it hampered the broadcast channel schedule on Saturday and Sunday as no post-match discussion took place contrary as planned.

Alan Shearer and Ian Wright Return to TV for Premier League Football.

Newcastle legend Shearer and former Arsenal player Wright had returned to TV for Premier League matches after boycotting it in support of the suspended Lineker.

Both Wright and Shearer were in attendance to cover three Premier League matches, including Arsenal’s win over Fulham on March 12, 2023.

Wright was the first pundit who refused to continue working for BBC TV in support of his friend, Lineker.

He also threatened to quit BBC Match of the Day after the incident.
Wright claimed it was a distraction. He backed up Lineker’s comments with the fact that there is freedom of speech in the country and he is allowed to say whatever he wants to say.

Alan Shearer, Micah Richards, Alex Scott, Mark Chapman, and Collin Murray all disagree to fill in the Lineker gap, bringing about disruptions in the BBC schedule.

The incident caused a total blackout in the football environment, with the flash score and football focus going off air.
