Gareth Bale expressed that the Portuguese would get angry if Real Madrid won a game by 5-0 and his name wasn’t on the score sheet.

The Welshman said: “He was actually okay, He had his moments.

“For example, if we win 5-0 and he didn’t score, he comes in and throws his boots like he’s angry.

The 33-year-old then compared when a team wins in the Ryder Cup and a golfer in the team doesn’t get even a point.

He stated: “It’s like your team winning in the Ryder Cup but you didn’t get a point so you are angry.

Bale however shared that Ronaldo “was a nice guy” and they didn’t have any issues whatsoever.

The Welshman said: “But he was a nice guy, nothing wrong, we didn’t really have any problems.

“A lot of people could be scared of how he is but if you’re not then it’s fine.”

The former Tottenham Hotspur attacker was asked a question on if Ronaldo does appreciate his teammates for their contributions in helping him win the Ballon d’Or awards, which he won at Real Madrid.

Firstly, Bale responded:  “I dunno… I think he did but…”

However, shockingly a few moments later after the camera was set, Bale pointed to the camera and altered his previous statements.

He said emphatically:  ”Yes, he did!

The 33-year-old ahead of the Champions League final on the 10th of June 2023 stoked some fire when he mentioned Lionel Messi as the greatest player to win the UEFA Champions League.

Fans online felt it was a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo with the presumption that the pair were not in good terms.

Gareth Bale also shared his thoughts on Messi’s move to the MLS, expressing that there was less pressure in America than in Spain.

He stated: “It is a lot more chilled (in MLS).”

The ex-Southampton man also talked about what it felt like losing a game at Real Madrid and comparing it with the MLS, Bale said: “If you lose at Real Madrid, it is like the world has ended.

“You are crucified.

He added: “You feel down. You go home and you’re not happy.

“They accept losing a bit more (in America). There is no consequence. You can’t get relegated over there.

“When you lose a game you go on to the next one. They accept losing a lot better over there.

“They know how to lose but they celebrate every win like you have won the championship. He will definitely enjoy it.”

The 33-year old played for Los Angeles FC after leaving Real Madrid before he hung up his boots in January 2023.

He assisted the club to an MLS Cup triumph in 2022 alongside the Supporters Shield.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 450 goals and provided 131 assists in 438 matches for Real Madrid.

For Gareth Bale, he scored 106 goals and provided 67 assists in 258 matches for Real Madrid.

Both players won many trophies together, including doing a three-peat of UEFA Champions League titles.
