Gareth Bale is enjoying life in the United States. Things got even better for him on Friday night during Los Angeles FC’s match against Real Salt Lake.

Despite not being a starter for the MLS team, the Welsh star has now scored twice in four games with his new team.

Bale is yet to make a start for his new team and sat out of their encounter against their Western Conference rivals once more.

Aaron Ramsey scored with nearly his first touch as an OGC Nice player, and his Walsh teammate Gareth Bale scored a stunning solo goal as Los Angeles FC defeated Real Salt Lake 4-1.

With 26 minutes left in the game, the Welshman entered as Carlos Vela’s replacement up front.

And to the delight of the home crowd, Bale made his presence known in the 87th minute with a superb solo goal. Nearly 40 yards from Real Salt Lake’s goal, on the right wing.

The ex-Tottenham striker picked up the ball and ran past two opponents.

Bale entered the box, made a cut inside, and then blasted the ball past the goalkeeper.

Bale cut through from the right flank after sprinting from almost halfway to score LAFC’s second goal.

Just one minute after coming off the bench in Nice’s 1-1 Ligue 1 draw at Toulouse, Ramsey swept in the equalizer.

Forward Gareth Bale, 33, left Real Madrid in June and signed a 12-month contract with LAFC.

For his current team, who are in first place in the MLS Western Conference, the former Tottenham player has scored twice in four outings, all of which have come off the bench.

He entered the Real Salt Lake game in the 64th minute, and three minutes later he scored.

Ramsey will also be a major player for Robert Page in the World Cup in Qatar in November when Bale will represent Wales in the tournament for the first time in his career.

The 31-year-old former Arsenal midfielder, who earlier this week signed for Nice, was a free agent after his contract with Italian team Juventus expired.

Ramsey came on as a 77th-minute substitute in Nice’s season-opening Ligue 1 match, and one minute later he had earned a point for his new team with a crisp finish from inside the box.

Bale is becoming more fit, according to LAFC head coach Steve Cherundolo.

Cherundolo said: “It is a tremendous time for Gareth and the squad.

“He’s popular both within the group and outside of it, I suppose, but it was a well-executed goal.

“After the game, we told Gareth, ‘Now that we all know he can sprint, there’s no hiding,’ we were thrilled for him.

“He seems to be getting fitter and healthier every day, and I do not doubt that this trend will continue.”
