Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard welcomes Antonio Rudiger back in the team ahead of their Champions League game against Lille. But, Lampard take Fikayo Tomori out of the team for the Lille match to kick off on Tuesday.

However, Lampard will motivate his side to return from their defeat to the Toffees at the weekend league game. The result which opened up the top four race again.

Frank Lampard includes Rudiger in the squad to play against Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday

The German defender will restore his place in the centre-back during the home match against Lille. Just after sustaining knee surgery from his groin injury against Wolverhampton back in September.

Lampard has been focusing on improving the strength of his team. He says the defender is desperate to return to the squad after a season-off by injury.

Lampard said in his statement that “He looks fit and ready to go and I know he’s hungry.” He continues ”He’s got a lot of his fitness work done since the injury healed.”

The transfer ban restricting Chelsea from signing new players is lifted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Friday. But Lampard claims he will not rush into signing into his team in the January transfer window.

In the same vein, the Blues head coach has likely players to sign like Jadon Sancho, Wilfried Zaha among others. Which the new year window will determine whether the England manager will sign players.
