Benoit Badiashile scored his first goal since he became a Chelsea player while Joao Felix added the last to ensure the Blues take all three points.

The game was already looking like a stalemate before Frank Lampard’s changes turned the game around to get his first win as a Chelsea coach.

Late substitutes Hakim Ziyech, Raheem Sterling and Felix made the difference to give Lampard his first win in seven games.

This result has ensured that Chelsea are mathematically safe from relegation though they will not play in Europe next season.

Chelsea are also closing in on landing Mauricio Pochettino as head coach for the next campaign after firing Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter.

The two teams had a brilliant game with Bournemouth starting as the better side before going behind to the simplest of goals.

N’Golo Kante found Conor Gallagher with a pinpoint pass from the right and the midfielder glanced a header to give the Blues the lead in the 9th minute.

Bournemouth however responded well as they showed that they are really one of EPL’s most in-form team but they could not prove it against Frank Lampard and his men.

Matias Vina levelled it for the host with what could be described as a goal of the season contender as they fought back.

The Uruguayan finished off from a beautiful one-touch team move, curling an effort from the edge of the area past Kepa Arrizabalaga and into the far corner.

Most of the games action happened in the second half but it was Chelsea that eventually benefitted from the lively half.

Noni Madueke who was substituted showed he was a thorn in the flesh and enjoyed the better of a game-long duel with Vina.

The 21 year old will be an incredible player when Chelsea returns back to their full force in the subsequent campaigns.

But all his attempts yielded no results not until Frank Lampard made the substitutions that eventually won him his first match out of six.

Bournemouth were punished late but not from the wings, it was from a set piece.

Badiashile finished off a brilliant Ziyech set piece cross in the 82nd minute before Raheem Sterling activated his drive with the ball, finding Felix who made first-time strike to put the result beyond reach.

Bournemouth will play Crystal Palace next while Frank Lampard ‘s men welcome Nottingham Forest at the Stamford Bridge.

    Frank Lampard Breaks Winless Drought

This was a result that Frank Lampard has been waiting for since he became Chelsea’s caretake coach after Graham Potter was axed.

The club legend has come under heavy criticism for his recent run of form as a manager but he put up courage to win today’s encounter.

The poor run of form saw Chelsea battling to stay afloat in the 2022/2023 Premier League season.

That relegation story can now be put to bed as the London side look to focus more on getting all points from the remaining matches.
