Francis Ngannou has sent words of appreciation to Cristiano Ronaldo after getting a £110,000 watch ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury.
The 37-year-old Cameroonian is the former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion following his win against Ciryl Gane in January 2022.
He departed from the sport earlier this year after he failed to agree on a new contract and started pursuing a big fight in the boxing world.
Ngannou has now received his biggest fight and his first boxing match is against a boxer that named himself the ‘Gypsy King’.
Now the Al-Nassr skipper has gifted Ngannou a watch that is reportedly worth about £110,000, which is half a million Saudi riyals.
The ex-UFC star took to his social media page to share a video of the gift from Ronaldo and also his reaction as he was presented the gift.
When Ronaldo and Ngannou met in January, the former Manchester United player convinced Ngannou that the East Side is “the future of sports.”
Well, the biggest fight of the year between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury is around the corner and it will take place in the Middle East thanks to Ronaldo.
Speaking on their meeting, Francis Ngannou said: “We had a good talk. He told me that Saudi Arabia is the future.”
“A lot of people don’t understand now but they are changing really fast, it’s moving really fast.”
“And that’s even what I personally, that was my feeling when I got there.”
“It was my first time going to Saudi and I was literally like, I didn’t really know how to carry myself, how to behave myself.”
“But I get there and find out that everything is cool. It was just like normal life. It’s pretty cool, man.”
