Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger considers return to management.

    Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering a return to a managerial position, the French man spent 22 years with the Gunners he’s currently FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development.

    The French man while speaking at a FIFA event said he’s still open to a return to the everyday life as a manager after he admitted to feeling “a bit of an intruder” in his new role as the FIFA football development boss.

    He retired from his position as Arsenal manager after 22-year in 2018; the 70-year-old admits that he misses the day-to-day interaction with his group of players.

    “Every day, I want to train, I’ve been doing this all my life,” Wenger told Europe 1

    “I am 70 years old; I gave a lot, should I play Russian roulette a bit, even when it comes to my health? I can’t do things by halves, so I as myself these questions.”

    He was asked if he would consider a return to management at the peak of the game but gave a “tongue in cheek” answer.

    It will be in conditions that I consider optimal,” he answered. “otherwise, I will not do it.”

    Arsene Wenger’s new role requires him to lay the foundation of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar; he also admits finding it difficult to work in a confined space as he is used to working in an open space all his life.

    ” I smell the grass every morning, and today I am more muffled, administrative environments and in offices. so obviously, I feel a bit of an intruder in there,”

    He further stated that ” I want to create the most efficient analysis centre in the world at FIFA. I know it is very ambitious, but you will see that at the World Cup in 2022 we will produce match analysis which will be extremely efficient.

    “I am in the process of hiring a lot of people at this level right now. and I think there is still a lot of progress to be made in the way we see football.”
