Fikayo Tomori signs a new Chelsea deal and will be with the club until 2024

    Fikayo Tomori has been a great centre-back for Chelsea, since joining the first team from the Academy. Now, he signs a new five years contract with the London club, so his future lies with Chelsea till 2024.

    The young defender has been able to gain the trust of both Frank Lampard and the supporters of the club. He actively replaced Antonio Rudiger when he was out because of his knee injury until his return.

    Tomori has been one of the outstanding players in Frank Lampard’s debut season as Chelsea manager. Having taken a total charge of the full-back role along with Kurt Zouma during the absence of Rudiger.

    The 22-year-old has 55 appearances under Lampard on loan at Derby last season, and now a first-team player at Chelsea. Besides, he has 16 appearances for the Blues this season.

    He also made his debut for England in a Euro 2020 qualifier against Kosovo last month and the Champions League. The youngster represents the club well alongside fellow Academy graduates like Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, and Reece James.

    He afterward honors the memories of Chelsea and his lovely time at the club. “I’ve been at the club since I was seven years old. So I don’t really know much else other than Chelsea,” says Tomori.

    However, the new contract with Tomori is not the end of Chelsea’s plan for the team. Following the halved transfer ban which allows the Blues to sign new players.

    The January window will open a new dawn for the club as the boss, Lampard will strengthen his squad with new signees.
