Bendtner, who formerly played for Arsenal, was also fined £4,700 for speeding and driving without a valid license.

The 35-year-old made an appeal after Copenhagen’s city court impounded his Porsche Taycan Turbo S in October 2021.

On Thursday morning, May 11, Denmark’s Eastern High Court upheld the verdict, forcing the retired player to say goodbye to his luxury car.

Bendtner’s lawyer Anja Velbaek Mouridsen initaially told the court that: “It is disproportionate to confiscate a car worth 2.4million krone [£280k] given the nature of the crime.”

The former Gunners striker previously claimed that during the 2021 trial that his valid UK licence entitled him to drive in Denmark.

However, it was argued that Bendtner needed to regain his Danish licence after being disqualified in 2013.

The former player has now acquired a driver’s license as he reportedly turned up to last week’s hearing driving a ‘more modest’ Volvo.

Nicklas Bendtner has a history of court appearances in his home city and this judgement is the latest legal blow for the Denmark international.

Bendtner in 2018 was handed a 50-day jail term for assaulting a Taxi driver though he was allowed to serve the time on license with an electronic tag.

In 2013 also, Bendtner received a three-year motoring ban and fine for drink-driving.
