    Everton deployed a 4-5-1 formation with Jordan Pickford in goal. Michael Keane, Ben Godfrey, Seaman Coleman, and James Tarkowski led the four-man defense.

    Alex Iwobi, Idrissa Gueye, Dwight Mcneil, Amadou Onana, and Abdoulaye Doucoure were lined up in the middle while Demarai Gray led the attack.

    Spurs’ three-man defense was led by Eric Dier, Clement Lenglet, and Cristian Romero.

    The four midfieders were Ivan Perisic, Oliver Skipp, Pierre-Emile Hojbbjerg, and Pedro Porro.

    Kulusevski and Son lined up as attacking midfielers behind Harry Kane.

    Tottenham nearly conceded an early goal as the game kicked off when Cristian Romero threaded a back pass to Hugo Lloris without spotting Demarai Gray who was lurking behind.

    But thanks to Lloris who averted the deadlock and hurried to clear the ball before Gray bounce on it.

    After the dreary start, Tottenham got themselves back into the game and got a good hold of proceedings.

    Early in the game, Tottenham creatively tore apart Everton and charged upfield from the flanks. Porro nearly dropped the curtain-raiser but Pickford stretched out his leg to block the shot.

    Everton equally came across an early chance when Doucoure flicked Gray’s freekick to Keane who chest it down and volleyed it on goal but it flew over the crossbar.please

    The game began to take on a frantic pace as Tottenham demonstrated more hunger for an early goal, charging forward with dangerous attempts and closing up spaces.

    The top-four hopefuls made another attempt on goal in the 20th minute when Perisic crossed in from the wings to the far post but Porro was not quick enough to catch up with the cross before it was cleared by McNeill.

    Everton also made some attempts upfield after wrestling the ball away from the visitors.

    In the 28th minute, Everton nearly netted a cheap goal when Porro threaded a second back pass to Hugo Lloris. The ball nearly fell to McNeill but Lloris again rose to the occasion and cleared it.

    Both sides struggled to get the better of the other going forward but none could break the goal deadlock as they settled for a goalless first-half draw.

    Everton got the game to a fiery start in the second half with a good high-press, holding back Tottenham in the first few minutes.

    But they could not turn the game around before Tottenham won back possession and began to control proceedings.

    Spurs came close in the 51st minute after Kulusevski picked on Perisic’s cross from a corner kick. He laid it off to Porro who nearly made it count but fired wide off target.

    It was still goalless after the game crossed the hour mark. Both sides gave good account of themselves but Tottenham seems to be the better side going forward.

    In the 58th minute, Everton were dealt a big blow when Doucoure was sent off after he pushed and hit Harry Kane in the face.

    Kane bagged a yellow card for also shoving Doucoure during the moment of madness.

    Everton were down to 10 men – a great advantage for Spurs to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and get something out of it.

    After Doucoure saw red, Everton conceded a penalty in the 66th minute after Keane clipped down Romero in the box. Harry Kane converted it to give Tottenham the lead.

    Tottenham dropped deep into their half after taking the lead as Everton ramped up attempts to equalise despite playing with a one-man disadvantage.

    Spurs finally broke out of the pressure and seize back control of the game in the 77th minute but suffered a blow when Lucas was sent off in the 88th minute for a studs-up challenge on Keane.

    Two minutes after Lucas’ red card, Keane fired in the equaliser for the home side in the 90th minute.

    Both sides settled for a 1-1 draw after the final whistle. Tottenham moved to fourth on the Premier League table.

    Manchester United slipped out of the top four with two outstanding matches while Everton jumped out of the relegation zone to the 15th position with 27 points.
