Erling Haaland who was the hero of the match scored his first Manchester City hattrick in a dramatic comeback against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The Eagles took the lead thanks to an own goal from John Stone in the fourth minute and Joachim Anderson’s header in the 21 minutes which came from Eze’s free kick.
Bernardo Silva started things off with a clean shot which went over the Crystal Palace goalkeeper after dribbling past the defense, the goal came early in the second half.
After an hour, Haaland drew City level by heading home, Phil Foden’s lofted pass. The former Borussia Dortmund striker completed the comeback after scoring in the 70th minute, scoring from close range in the Crystal Palace penalty box without being marked.
Then, in the 81st minute, Haaland held off two Crystal Palace defenders after receiving a through ball from Ilkay Gundogan to complete his hat trick.
The comeback maintained Manchester City’s unbeaten run this season; they currently sit on top of the table after four matches with ten points.
Brighton is level with Manchester City with ten points after defeating Leeds by a goal. But this will change if Arsenal defeats Fulham. At the time of publishing this report, Arsenal were beating Fulham 2-1 in the 90th minute.
In the City vs Crystal Palace game, City’s new signing, Sergio Gomez, who replaced Haaland after Pep Guardiola substituted him in the second, made his City’s debut. The manager hugged Haaland so tightly after an impressive display by the striker.

In addition, the striker received a standing ovation from the fans who see him as a better replacement for Sergio Aguero.

John Stones won the man of the match award after some howlers in the first half. The defender created a chance for Haaland to score the second goal of the match.

Sergio Ageuro (6) is the only player that has more goals than Haaland in the first four opening matches in the Premier League.
Ebere Eze became just the third member of Crystal Palace to record an assist in three straight away Premier League games, joining Christian Benteke in 2018 and John Salako in 1992 (four straight assists).
