Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund is still on the rampage in the Bundesliga as he scored four goals against Hertha Berlin on Saturday to lift his team to the second spot on the league table. The match ended 5-2 in favor of Dortmund.

He scored a 15 minutes hat trick in the Bundesliga encounter and added another goal before the first half ended. The goals did not only take his team closer to the first placed Bayern Munich, it took Haaland closer to the league top scorer Robert Lewandowski.

Currently, with the goals of Erling Braut Haaland, Borussia Dortmund have won 6 league matches but the goals were not able to stop the club from losing two games out of 8. So far this season, the club has accumulated 18 points, one point behind the league leaders Bayern Munich.

As for Erling Haaland who just won the 2020 Golden Boy Award, the 20-year-old Norway center-forward has scored 10 league goals and provided 2 assists in 7 league games which means that he has just one goal behind Lewandowski who has scored 11 league goals for Bayern so far this season.

Besides the fact that he has been doing so well in the league, Erling Haaland has become a talisman as he has scored a total of 15 goals and provided 3 assists in 12 games in all competitions this season.

To show how hungry the Norwegian is for more achievement, after the match, the striker said he was mad at the club’s coach, Lucien Favre, for substituting him in the second half and thereby denying him the opportunity of scoring more goals.

He said: “To be honest after the game, [Favre] asked me how many I scored. He asked me: Did you score three?”

“I said: ‘No, four. Only four because you subbed me out.’ So I’m a bit mad at him right now but that’s how it is.”

In his reaction, coach Lucien Favre told ESPN that “It’s true because I am not just watching the goals, I am watching the passes too.

“[I told the players at half-time] we have to keep playing this way, play the ball forward more, make more runs into the box and the team did that immediately in the second half.”

Erling Haaland was replaced by a 16-year-old Cameroon-born German under 20 player, Youssoufa Moukoko in the 82nd minute of the match. That makes Moukoko the Bundesliga’s youngest-ever player.

Though Erling Haaland is seen by most football pundits in the world as the future of football, the 20-year-old Norway international believes that Borussia Dortmund’s new star boy Youssoufa Moukoko will take the world of football by storm.

He described the teenage star as the biggest talent in the world which he would love to play alongside.

“I would love to play alongside him,” he told ESPN after their 5-2 victory over Hertha Berlin on Saturday. “I think he’s the biggest talent in the world right now. He’s 16 years and one day old, that’s amazing. He has a big career ahead of him. We’re lucky to have him.”

While Dortmund’s coach said: “He (Moukoko) has trained with us now for 14 days. Seven or eight players were away on international duty. It was 5-2 and it was good for him to play his first Bundesliga game but of course, he has to keep working.”

Erling Haaland is expected to continue with his goals scoring show on November 24 when Club Brugge visit the club for a UEFA Champions League group stage match. After that, it will be the turn of FC Koln in the Bundesliga on November 28.
