Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund does not want to believe that Chelsea could pay 175 million euros for his services. The Norwegian striker believes that the money is too much to pay for the services of one person.

The 21-year-old striker has been one of the hottest youngsters in the transfer market. Almost all the biggest clubs in Europe have shown interest in his services despite having three years left in his contract with Borussia Dortmund.

However, among the top clubs that have shown interest in him, Chelsea looks like the club that has been more determined to secure his signature this summer.

Other clubs like FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Real Madrid, are waiting for 2022 summer to show more interest in him. This is so because by then, the player is free to join any club that can trigger his 75 million euros release clause. This means that he will be far cheaper than the current price tag on him.

However, Chelsea are so desperate to sign a striker this summer since the club’s 2020 summer signing, Timo Werner has not been able to do as much as expected.

The club’s new coach, Thomas Tuchel seems not to trust in the ability of Tammy Abraham and he has sold Olivier Giroud to AC Milan, which made it non-negotiable for the club to desire a proven striker.

Hence, they have reportedly attempted to sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan but the player reportedly said he is not interested in leaving Inter Milan for now. They have also shown interest in Harry Kane but Tottenham Hotspur are not ready to allow the English striker to go.

Despite the back and forth between Chelsea and Dortmund, the Premier League club seems very determined to get Erling Haaland at all cost. But the Norwegian striker believes that all the transfer speculations are just rumors.

“I don’t really have much to say about this,” Haaland said during Dortmund’s pre-season training camp in Switzerland. “I have three years left on my contract and I’m enjoying my time here (at Dortmund).

“Before yesterday, I didn’t speak to my agent in one month – I think you have the answer there.

“I don’t really care too much about that. It’s a lot of money – I hope it’s just rumored to be honest because that’s a lot of money for a person!”

Now that Haaland has made it clear that he is not interested in leaving Dortmund this summer, Chelsea fans are left with no choice but to wait for the club’s next move ahead of the 2021-2022 season.
