Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly set to refuse a truce with Jadon Sancho despite the planned intervention of Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Erik ten Hag fell out with Jadon Sancho since September 3. The Dutch dropped Sancho from Man United squad against Arsenal for indiscipline.
Sancho reacted furiously and took to his social media handle to blast the former Ajax boss for scapegoating him.
Sancho’s Instagram rant did not sit well with Erik ten Hag who convened a showdown talks to settle scores with the winger but it turned out distasteful.
Sancho refused to apologize to Erik ten Hag and was barred from first team training and demoted to the club’s academy squad. In a further clampdown, Sancho was banned from all Man United first team facilities, including the dinning hall.
The row seems to have deepened. Sources close to the club say Jadon Sancho Manchester United career is summarily over since he has refused to apologize to Erik ten Hag.
However, there is still a lifeline for the wantaway winger. Manchester United soon-to-be co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly ready to broker a truce between ten Hag and Sancho and put an end to the dragging faceoff.
While Sir Jim wants the row to finally die down as he sets out to transform and restructure Man United sporting department, it appears Erik ten Hag is not ready to wink on his stand to have Sancho stay frozen out of the squad.
Sources close to the club reveal Erik ten Hag is not ready to entertain any intervention by a third party on Sancho as he wants the player to leave the club.
