Erik Ten Hag on a Luxurious Vacation With Wife At Ibiza After Escaping Sack At Manchester United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was spotted in Ibiza with his wife Bianca having a nice time after he escaped Man United sack.

The 54-year-old chilled at the renowned luxurious spot in Greece as he took a breather from a gruelling 2023-24 football campaign with Manchester United.

Footage showed Ten Hag cosying up on the sofas of comfort and sharing a sumptuous dining table with his wife, Bianca.

He drank wine and cut a relaxed figure all through. Also, from the footage, the United manager donned a customized baseball cap with the inscription, ‘Boss’ clearly printed on it.

The inscription apparently points to the Dutchman’s retention of his role as Man United boss after intense scrutiny.

It is the first time he has been spotted away from the Man United dugout after his FA Cup triumph on May 23 at Wembley, and the third time he has been seen in public with Binaca.

The 54-year-old rarely makes a public appearance with Bianca. He was first seen in the streets of Cheshire having a ride with her. Again, a day after Manchester United suffered a shock defeat to Fulham in the Premier League, the Dutchman was seen with his wife, taking a walk around the streets of Cheshire before varnishing into a nearby restaurant to unwind.

Ten Hag’s Ibiza trip came just a day after Manchester United’s decision on his future at the club was confirmed.

After a disappointing 2023-24 campaign, Ten Hag’s Man United future was under intense scrutiny. A lengthy review followed. The Sun reported that the Dutchman was growingly frustrated with the delay in the review process.

Meanwhile, reports emerged the club had contacted potential replacements for the 54-year-old with former Bayern Munich and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel a big mention.

United reportedly met Tuchel twice but could not reach an agreement before the 2021 Champions League winner decided to back off and stay off management for a while.

After Tuchel’s deadlock, they finally settled for Erik ten Hag. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed the club want to offer the EFL and FA Cup winner a new contract.

Reports also confirmed the former Utrecht manager, who has been under pressure throughout the 2023-24 campaign, is happy with the club’s decision and is ready to work with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team.

Erik ten Hag Man United new contract offer

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United want to offer Erik ten Hag a new two-year contract that will see him extend his stay at the club till 2026. He has a year left on his current deal which was a three-year contract signed in 2022 under United’s former leadership.

How much is Erik ten Hag’s Man United salary?

Erik ten Hag is third on the list of highest-paid Premier League managers. He earns £9m every year. However, ESPN reports he will take a paycut to about £6.75m per year since Man United did not qualify for 2024-25 Champions League.
