    Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has dropped hints on Marcus Rashford injury situation ahead of a crunch Carabao Cup Final tie against Newcastle United on Sunday.

    Marcus Rashford played only 88 minutes in Manchester United’s Europa League second-leg win over Barcelona at Old Trafford.

    Erik Ten Hag subbed off the high-flying Three Lions forward and brought on McTominay after he was limping on the pitch following a wrong-footed challenge that left him sprawling to the ground in the Barcelona box.

    When asked if Rashford will be available to start for the club against Newcastle United, Erik Ten Hag replied, “I don’t know”.

    He added Manchester United is yet to conduct a scan on the injury and the club is yet to be updated on the situation.

    “Players are now coming in, we have to do investigations, medical, of course, yesterday we did. So straight after a game most of the time you can’t say, you have to wait for a 100 percent diagnosis. So let’s do the medical, the work, we have to wait”, coach Erik ten Hag said.

    Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford must have inflated the fears of United fans after taking to his Instagram Story to share a snap of him walking down the Old Trafford touchline in pain and agony.

    He added an emoji with a bandage head which confirmed the in-form Man United forward is nursing an injury.

    Man United fans will be eagerly awaiting Marcus Rashford’s injury update as the club’s medical department set out to scan and examine the extent of the injury with the Carabao Cup clash against Newcastle United in sight.
