The record-signing of Chelsea, Enzo Fernandez, has expressed optimism on the future of the club.
Fernandez, who joined Chelsea from Benfica on January 31, 2023, for a fee of €121 million, expressed his assertion over the future of the struggling Blues in a presser with Sky Sports.
Enzo Fernandez said players of the Stamford Bridge club will do everything needed to get the West London side back to their best days.
He also drummed it into the ears of many that he doesn’t know when the club are going to get back to their glory days, but they “will do it”.
The Argentine midfielder said: “I think Chelsea are going to be one of the best PL teams.
“I don’t know when, not now… but we will do it, we’ll work hard for this club and we will achieve it.”
Fernandez has produced “Okay” performances since he joined the Blues in January 2023.
He has been a mainstay in the midfield of Chelsea, making 34 appearances for the club, scoring 1 goal, and providing 2 assists across all competitions.
Enzo Fernandez was a key member of the 2022 Argentina squad that achieved World Cup glory in Qatar.
The 22-year-old definitely also has a trophy-winning mentality, which has been seen over time, as he has won 2 league titles; 1 Primeira Liga and 1 Argentine Primera División.
The Argentine midfielder has also won several cup titles, including; Copa Sudamericana, Recopa Sudamericana, and Trofeo de Campeones.

Meanwhile, Moises Caicedo is in agreement with the stance of Enzo Fernandez and made his assertions known confidently.
Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton and Hove Albion on August 14, 2023, for an astronomical fee of €116 million.
Moises Caicedo has shown flashes of brilliance in his early days with the Blues, amassing 11 appearances, scoring no goal, and providing no assist.
Airing his thoughts on the statements made by teammate Fernandez, the Ecuadorian said:
