James Maddison took a break from the World Cup to meet his girlfriend, Kennedy Alexa, for the first time since arriving in Qatar.
The two lovers were spotted spending a luxurious time with each other in Qatar as England warms up to battle African champions Senegal in the World Cup round of 16.
Kennedy Alexa took to her social media handle to share the pictures they took together.
Expressing her love for the Leicester City midfielder, Kennedy wrote in the post, “precious time with you.”
Maddison responded with three love heart emojis.
Who is Alexa Kennedy?
Born on June 17, 1994, in England, Alexa Kennedy is a famous wag of Leicester City and England star James Maddison.
Kennedy is a renowned Instagram model. The 28-year-old has a massive social media following and has done photoshoots with well-known brands, such as Stylist LA. She is the brand ambassador for some top brands as well.
Kennedy’s relationship with James Maddison
While the actual date James Maddison and Kennedy started dating is still unknown, the duo were said to meet in late 2020. However, their relationship came to the fore in 2021.
The two love birds welcomed their first son on July 2021.
While the timing of James Maddison’s moment with his lover may raise eyebrows with England getting ready for a round of 16 clash with Senegal, it was England manager Gareth Southgate who permitted his players to have some time away from the team’s base before the Senegal game.
The Three Lions will tackle Senegal for a place in the quarterfinal, but it seems unlikely James Maddison will make the starting lineup.
Maddison is yet to make his first start at the World Cup after he suffered a minor injury. According to reports, he is fully fit but will likely make the bench against Senegal.
His form with Premier League side Leicester City this season has earned him his call-up for the Three Lions World Cup. After 14 games for the Foxes, he has bagged seven goals and four assists.
Meanwhile, England have to beat Senegal for a place in the quarterfinals. They qualified from the group as the best team in the group stages after garnering 7 points; drawing only with USA.
Senegal lost their opening game against the Netherlands but recorded straight wins against Ecuador and Qatar to qualify for the round of 16.
However, the clash against the Three Lions will be a true test of Aliou Cisse’s capacity to get something out of the tournament.
Meanwhile, a lot is at stake for Gareth Southgate going into this game. After delivering a great performance in the group stage, crashing out against the African champions will likely spell doom for his managerial career with the Three Lions.
Already, a shock and abysmal UEFA Nations League outing saw him come under heavy pressure. The Senegal game may be the ultimate deal-breaker.
