Manchester United have suffered a shock defeat to Sevilla to crash out of the Europa League quarterfinals at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.

The game got up to a frantic pace as both sides engaged each other in a battle of possession and physicality after settling for a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Old Trafford.

After a fiery and scintillating display by the home side, their early goal did not come as a surprise as Harry Maguire pulled an incredible blunder to hand Sevilla a cheap goal.

After receiving a pass from David de Gea, he was suddenly closed up by three fast-approaching Sevilla players, jittering cluelessly at the back, he ended up missing his pass and giving the ball away to En-Nesyri who fired a low rocket into the bottom left corner with David de Gea standing clueless as the lightening strike went in.

Sevilla took a deserved 8th-minute lead but battled for few minutes to reassert themselves into the game as Manchester United surged forward.

The Red Devils also felt the loss of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez to injuries as Lindelof and Harry Maguire seemed to misunderstood themselves when coming under pressure by Sevilla.

Meanwhile, they were beginning to grow into the game in the 23rd minute but failed to record a single shot on target.

Despite a few minutes scare by the Ten Hag-led squad, Seviila returned with danger, winning duels and dominating possession once more.

Locampo fired a thunderbolt pass de Gea in what would have been a second goal for the home side but it was ruled out after VAR check.

The game gradually turned out a nightmare for the Red Devils as they failed to create clear chances, playing second fiddle to the spirited LaLiga side.

It was a nightmare start to second half for the Red Devils. Just two minutes into the game, Sevilla doubled the lead from a cornerkick with Balde heading home to sink the Red Devils.

It was a disastrous night for the Red Devils. Erik Ten Hag brought on Marcus Rashford, Wout Weghorst, Fred, and Pellistri but the Red Devils could not overturn the game.

Sevilla continued to heap pressure and were enroute to semifinals bundling the visitors in style in front of their roaring home fans.

In the 81st minute, it was game over for Manchester United as En-Nesyri sank the Red Devils with another goal to bag his brace.

The goal came from an outrageous David de Gea blunder. The Spaniard attempted to trapped down a long ball but mistakenly missed it.

En-Nesyri was right on spot to deliver a cool easy finish into the empty net to make it 3-0 for Sevilla.

Manchester United ended up crashing out of the competition with a shock 3-0 defeat to Sevilla after the final whistle.
