Kylian Mbappe sent a heartrending tribute to Eden Hazard as the former Chelsea talisman announce his retirement.
Mbappe, is one of many footballers who have immense respect for Eden Hazard.
The BBC reported earlier that the former Belgian captain made the decision to retire from professional football.
Hazard announced the decision on social media, saying that after 16 years and 700 games, he decided to end his career. Mbappe, who played against the former Chelsea man at club and international level, then took to social media to pay tribute to him.
The French superstar shared a photo of Hazard on his Instagram story, saying ‘Le grand Eden. MERCI.’
It translates to ‘The great Eden, thank you.’
Mbappe added ‘great’ to qualify Eden Hazard due to his epic career in club and international football before his retirement.
Eden Hazard made 330 appearances scoring 110 goals for club and country before calling time on his career. He has won the Premier League two times with Chelsea, including the FA Cup before he joined Real Madrid.
Despite languishing on the peripheries at Real Madrid, Hazard won the Laliga, Champions, FIFA Club World Cup, and several other club trophies at Real Madrid.
