Nottingham Forest’s attempt to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has collapsed after both clubs failed to finalise an agreement on a suitable transfer fee.

The 25-year-old striker was close to moving to another Premier League side, Nottingham Forest, but the deal is now off.

The player who is below the Arsenal pecking order is looking forward to leaving Arsenal before the end of the transfer window.

Crystal Palace are showing interest in signing the player and will prepare a bid for the English striker.

Nketiah started last season on a very high note as the centre forward for Arsenal but was benched frequently in the later stages of the campaign. He didn’t start any Premier League match from January 2024 until the last day.

Mikel Arteta preferred Kai Havertz ahead of Gabriel Jesus and Nketiah. In the 2024–25 season, the striker was an unused substitute against Wolves and Aston Villa.

Marseille proceeded to sign Elye Wahi from Lens. Bournemouth were also interested in the 25-year-old striker, but they went for FC Porto’s hitman, Evanilson.
