Heidenheim, the newly promoted team in the Bundesliga, have officially confirmed the acquisition of Werder Bremen’s forward Eren Dinkçi.
The 21-year-old talented German-Turkish forward Dinkçi will join Heidenheim on loan for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
According to Robert Strauss, Heidenheim’s Head of Sport, Eren is a promising young player who has already gained valuable experience in the Bundesliga, despite his age.
Strauss said: “We are thrilled that the loan has been successful and that Eren will be joining us for our first Bundesliga season.”
“Having him on our team gives us an additional option in the forward position, as well as another ambitious player with great potential.”
On the other hand, Dinkçi expressed his enthusiasm for taking on the new challenge and assured him that he will make every effort to maintain the level of excellence set by Heidenheim.
He noted: “My main objective is to contribute to my new team most effectively both on a personal level and with the experience I have gained in the Bundesliga.”
Dinkçi participated in 17 Bundesliga games for Werder Bremen last season, accumulating a total of 215 minutes on the field. However, despite his efforts, he was unable to score any goals.
The forward, who was born in Bremen, had an impressive performance in the 2020/21 season for Werder Bremen II in the Regionalliga Nord.
He scored seven goals and provided two assists in eight games, which led to his promotion to the first team.
Despite only scoring one goal in 50 games for Bremen since his debut, Dinkçi has displayed great potential.
With his experience in the Bundesliga, he will be a valuable addition to Heidenheim.
Heidenheim earned promotion to the Bundesliga as champions of the 2. Bundesliga after securing a late victory against Jahn Regensburg.
The 21-year-old German was unveiled as Heidenheim’s fifth signing, following Tim Siersleben, Benedikt Gimber, Nikola Dovedan, and Omar Traoré.
Who is Eren Dinkçi?
He is a professional footballer of German-Turkish descent.
He recently signed as a center-forward or winger for 1. FC Heidenheim, a Bundesliga club, on loan from Werder Bremen.
