Diogo Dalot starred for Manchester United as the Red Devils grabbed late win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane to continue their recovery from a dismal start to the campaign.

Manchester United went into the game on the back of a dramatic late win over Brentford at Old Trafford before the international break.

Scott McTominay late brace completed a dramatic comeback for the Reds and averted what would have been their worst start to a Premier League campaign for the first time in decades.

Coming up against the struggling Heckingbottom-led boy, United needed nothing less from a win to build on their recent gains.

It was a shaky start for the Red Devils in front of their travelling fans as Sheffield United held a commanding sway over proceedings for over 20 minutes after kickoff.

Manchester United made little attempt to break the dominance of the The Blades and were struggling to make a bold presence in the game.

However, against the run of play, they were able to take the lead with Scott McTominay scoring his third goal in two successive Premier League games for the club in the 28th minute.

Few minutes after the lead, McTominay slipped from a hero to a villain after he conceded a penalty, handling the ball inside United box.

McBurnie helped the home side convert the spotkick and level the scores as he cracked the penalty into the net pass Andre Onana.

Manchester United began to dominate proceedings going forward after McBurnie’s leveler but could not retake the lead before the first half break.

United put up a more clinical performance in the second half. Sheffield United’s half was the seat of action as the away side pressed the button to try and take the lead.

It was near-deadlock for the Red Devils despite wielding great control of proceedings. They had difficulties breaking into Sheffield United box and failed to create a clear chance.

They, however, came close to two good chances after fowlers by Sheffield United defense but could make them count.

With the game far spent, the ten Hag-led boys needed a magic to find a breakthrough and Diogo Dalot rose to the occasion with a brilliant finish.

Receiving a pass from Lindelof from the left wing, Dalot fired a thunderbolt from outside the box into the top right corner pass Sheffield United goalkeeper to give Manchester United the lead.

It was a deserved lead after a marathon of pressure by the red Devils but the Blades attempted to fight back late in the game and failed to steal their way through United defense.

Manchester United held on to run out with a 2-1 after the final whistle despite late pressure by the home side.
