He also spoke about how he got addicted to sleeping pills, how he reached out for help, and getting admitted in a rehabilitation center.

While Dele Alli’s interview has attracted sympathies from top football stars and fans across the globe, we reported earlier that Dele Alli’s family have come out to debunk some of the claims made by the Everton player in the interview.

His family has disputed claims Alli was sent back to Nigeria to learn discipline but rather to stay close to his father Kehinde Alli.

His family members also said Alli’s mum, Denise, is not an alcoholic as claimed by Alli. They also disputed his claim he was abandoned by the family, saying Alli was abducted by his adopted parents who did everything possible to disconnect him from his biological parents so as to exploit his burgeoning football career then.

Dele Alli has been given a lifeline by Everton manager Sean Dyche to reset his career as he is ready to work with the player after his recovery from injury.
