Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte won’t be available for Manchester City in their Champions League first leg visit to RB Leipzig on Wednesday.
Both players were not in training on Tuesday and they have not been added amongst the players who would battle in the first leg.

Pep Guardiola revealed that Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte would not be available because of illness.
Englishman John Stones also won’t play any part in the game as he is still on his road to recovery from a thigh injury.
However, January acquisition Maximo Perrone was amongst the players that made the trip to Germany.
Manchester City would be looking to get back on full throttle after they allowed Nottingham Forest snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat late on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola many times has stressed the desire of Manchester City in winning the UEFA Champions League, which would be unprecedented in the club’s history.
Nevertheless, in spite of the result they got against Nottingham Forest, Pep Guardiola still showered his players with wonderful remarks.
Guardiola said: “Last game against Nottingham was highest standards,”
“I loved the way we play and we don’t win because it’s football. I do not have an answer on what happened in that situation.
“Today we trained and it’s there but that doesn’t mean we’ll win. But I have a good feeling.”
Leipzig weary of the threat Erling Haaland of Manchester City possesses
RB Leipzig have been handed a tough task in keeping Norwegian attacker Erling Haaland impotent for the entire ninety (90) minutes.
Erling Haaland has scored thirty-two (32) goals in thirty-one (31) appearances for Manchester City this season.
Borussia Dortmund manager, Marco Rose, knows how magnificent a threat it would be to keep Erling Haaland impotent for the entire duration of the game.

However, Rose trust that his understanding of the player could be useful for his side.
Marco Rose last season worked with Erling Haaland at the Black and Yellows and he says:
“If he sees the goal he is crazy about scoring, He is always there for the team, working for the team”.
“He has improved his game a lot, his technical side, his movement and things around. Now he is playing for one of the best teams in the world and he is a world-class player.
“But I have great confidence in my team. We want to compete against one of the best teams in the world, see and look for opportunities.”
Erling Haaland has scored five (5) goals in the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League campaign with his last goal coming against Copenhagen in a 5-0 for the Cityzens at the Etihad.
RB Leipzig are sweating over the fitness of Christopher Nkunku
RB Leipzig are unsure over the fitness of Christopher Nkunku for this encounter with the forward not certain if he would play any part against Manchester City.
Christopher Nkunku has scored seventeen (17) goals across all competitions this term but only recently got back from an ankle injury sustained in November which ruled him out of the World Cup.
Nkunku got a goal and an assist in their Bundesliga victory against Wolfsburg which took them level on points with Bayern Munich and Union Berlin at the summit of the table.
The Black and Yellows are in no rush to send him back into action as they want to gradually get him back to full fitness.
“Christo could only complete part of the training today because there was some reaction [from his injury],” Rose added.
“We will certainly not start with him on Wednesday.
He further stated:
“We will have to see if he can be with us at all, but we won’t be taking any risks. We have a lot more matches this season.”
It would be a crunch tie between Manchester City and Borrusia Dortmund, hopefully they turn up the heat and deliver something that would whet our appetite tonight.
