Victor Osimhen was elated after he got his wedding invite for the highly-anticipated wedding. He danced in the room to the cheers of others.
Osimhen’s elated showing in the buildup to the wedding between Davido and Chioma comes a week after he was embroiled in a bitter fallout with former Super Eagles head coach Finidi George. In viral Instagram footage, the Napoli forward blasted the ex-international for accusing him of disloyalty to the Super Eagles.
Recall Finidi George had implied in his Nigerian Vs South Africa World Cup Qualifiers post-match press conference that Victor Osimhen refused to honor his invitation to the Super Eagles camp for the match. According to him, he could not beg the Napoli frontman to come and play for his country.
Ranting in the footage, Osimhen countered the former Enyimba head coach, saying he (Osimhen) had asked to join the team despite his injury but was turned down by the manager.
After the furious rant, reports emerged the Nigeria international has been suspended from the Super Eagles team. Nigeria Football Federation Secretary Mohammed Sanusi would later come out to debunk the report while reiterating the commitment of the country football’s governing body to resolving the crisis.
Meanwhile, Osimhen was spotted in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, a few days later, chilling with top celebrities and football personalities in the country.
