The manager of West Ham United David Moyes has revealed that he hopes the club’s loanee, Jesse Lingard would find a home at West Ham United.

Jesse Lingard joined West Ham United on loan from Manchester United on January 29, 2021 and he is expected to return to Manchester United at the end of the season.

Since the 28-year-old English left-winger joined West Ham United, he has been enjoying his game more than while he was at his parent club. Within the space of a month, the England international has scored 4 goals and provided two assists in 6 games in all competitions.

David Moyes hoped that just like West Ham United were able to attract a player like Jesse Lingard to the club, the club could attract more of such a calibre of player in the nearest future.

“I hope we’re going to be in a position to attract many players in the future, because of our league position, because we’re a club with stature, we’re in London, we have a 60,000-plus stadium which will be full every week. I think all those things go in our favour,” David Moyes said.

“Jesse wanted to come here, right from the start. When I was talking to him he wanted to come to West Ham. He saw it as a really good place for him. I think he’ll have seen what we’re trying to do.

“He’s joined a good group of players as well. We’ve got international players and I’m hoping we can add to that in the coming transfer window. The job is to try to add to that.

“But I would hope Jesse sees this as a good place if it’s possible to be done, and if we think that we want to do it at the end of the season.”

West Ham United are gradually joining the elite clubs especially in the 2020-2021 season where the club has performed so well that they are currently sitting on the 5th spot on the league table with 48 points in 27 games.

They have been so consistent that they have recorded 14 wins, 6 draws and 7 defeats. They are currently three points below 4th placed Chelsea with two games in hand.

On Sunday, March 14, 2021, West Ham United will face Manchester United in a Premier League game that is expected to kick off at 20:15. A win in the game could take West Ham into the top four pending the outcome of other games.

Jesse Lingard is expected to feature against his parent club on Sunday if David Moyes deem him fit for the game. It would be a home coming for him at Old Trafford if he is given a spot in Moyes’ squad against the Red Devils.
