Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea took to Instagram to flaunt his daughter, Yanay, amid his uncertain future at the Premier League club.

In his Instagram post on Sunday after Manchester United’s Premier League match against Aston Villa, the 30-year-old Spanish goalkeeper described his daughter as his whole world.

David De Gea posed with the little girl while lying on a bed with the girl placed on his left arm. In the caption, the embattled goalkeeper wrote: “My whole world”.

Yanay was born on March 4, 2021, and she is currently the only child of De Gea. The Spanish goalkeeper has the child with his wife Edurne Garcia who is a Spanish singer and TV presenter.

De Gea and Edurne Garcia who have been lovers since 2010, started living together in Manchester in 2018, three years after the goalkeeper’s plan to move to Real Madrid failed.

It is not known the exact time they officially became husband and wife, it is suspected that they got married in 2020 and have been living in Manchester with little or no controversy.

However, their stay in the city might soon be over as Manchester United have decided to make the club’s academy graduate Dean Henderson the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Though the Spanish goalkeeper gave a very good account of himself in the two-legged Europa League semi-final clash against Roma which saw United qualified for the final of the competition, he was dropped in the league match against Aston Villa on Sunday.

In his absence, Manchester United went on to win the league match 3-1 away from home to cement their place on the second spot on the league table with 70 points in 34 games.

At the time of publishing this report, there were speculations that David De Gea might not be in between the sticks during the final of the Europa League between United and Villarreal on May 26.

The coach of Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who has been striving to win a title with the club since 2019, had said he would make difficult decisions ahead of the match which could be benching David De Gea.

There are already speculations that Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has shown interest in replacing David De Gea who currently earns £350,000-a-week at the Premier League club as United are reportedly set to offload him this summer.
