Richardson scored an acrobatic goal against Serbia in Brazil’s first match, which the Brazilians won by a score of two to one.

The goal was one of the best goals of the tournament. Although he scored the first goal, the striker failed to impress and failed in his attacking duties for his country subsequently as Brazil bowed out in the quarter-final stage.

Another moment was when the Netherlands equalized against Argentina. The team was two goals down in the first half, and Louis Van Gaal made a tactical change where he brought in Wout Weghorst.

The striker scored an excellent header and a 90+10 minute goal to take the game into extra time. The fans erupted and began praising him.

However, on penalties, Argentina qualified for the semi-finals over Weghorst’s team.

Another moment was when FIFA announced female officials would represent Germany against Costa Rica.

It was the first time in the history of the World Cup that all the match officials were women. The match ended in favor of Germany.

David Beckham has defended his decision to be the face of the Qatar World Cup. He broke his silence on the 150 million pound deal after being called out by popular comedian Joe Lycett.

The comedian protested against the David Beckham deal and criticized him for accepting the deal with a country that does not allow homosexuality and its symbol, rainbow color, because homosexuality is against Qatari culture.

The rainbow color had been a symbol of support for homosexuality, and Qatar had arrested several people who wore the rainbow color.

The country also urged the Qatar World Cup participating teams to respect their culture since they respect other country’s culture.

Reacting to why David Beckham accepted to be the ambassador of Qatar World Cup, Beckham’s spokesperson, quoted by The Sun, said: “David has been involved in a number of World Cups and other major international tournaments both as a player and an ambassador and he has always believed that sport has the power to be a force for good in the world.

“Football, the most popular sport globally, has a genuine ability to bring people together and make a real contribution to communities.

“We understand that there are different and strongly held views about engagement in the Middle East but see it as positive that debate about the key issues has been stimulated directly by the first World Cup being held in the region.

“We hope that these conversations will lead to greater understanding and empathy towards all people and that progress will be achieved.”
