Daniel Ek, the owner of an online streaming platform, Spotify, is not ready to give up on his intention to buy Premier League club, Arsenal.

The Swedish businessman had earlier confirmed that the embattled owner of the club, Stan Kroenke had rejected his bid worth £1.8 billion and stressed that he would keep pushing for the ownership of the club.

In a recent report, Daniel Ek is ready to increase his offer from £1.8 billion to £2 billion. But that might not be enough to tempt the American businessman to sell the club to the 38-year-old businessman.

Recall that Stan Kroenke and his son, Josh who serves as Arsenal’s director have stressed that they are committed to Arsenal. In the statement, the American billionaire insisted that the ambition of the Kroenke family at the club is for Arsenal “to compete to win the biggest trophies in the game”. The statement noted that the focus of the current owner “remains on improving” the competitiveness of the club on the pitch.

But this declaration has not stopped Daniel Ek to continue his attempt to buy the club which he said he has been a fan of since he was a child. Before he made the first offer to the Kroenke’s, he told the press that he would make an offer that the American billionaire cannot resist. But the club’s owner was able to resist Daniel Ek’s first offer.

As it stands, Arsenal fans are watching to see how far Daniel Ek’s second attempt to buy the club would go especially now that he is planning to submit a bid worth £2 billion.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the manager of Arsenal football club, Mikel Arteta is trying to buy Brighton defender Ben White during this summer transfer window.

The performance of the 23-year-old England youngster in the just concluded 2020-2021 season attracted the attention of some top clubs in the Premier League including Liverpool and Manchester City.

However, coach Mikel Arteta seems more serious to enquire the services of the defender who replaced injured Liverpool’s right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold in England’s 26-man squad for Euro 2020.

Daily Mirror reported that Arsenal are looking at the possibility of paying the £50 million price tag placed on the defender but nothing concrete has been put in place at the time of publishing this report.
