Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has revealed that the new Spain manager Luis de la Fuente told him to settle his issue with Barcelona youngster Gavi after both players clashed in the El Clasico.

The two midfielders were selected to play in Spain’s Euro 2024 qualifiers, and both of them have arrived at the camp.

Ceballos claimed Spain manager La Fuente is aware of the incident that happened between both of them and instructed them to talk prior to the qualification match.

Ceballos claimed it is all working
out between him and Gavi, and they are also moving closer to becoming partners again.

The former Arsenal player claimed everything that happened on the field stayed on the field.

They want to put their differences aside while representing their national team to avoid issues that may affect the team going forward.

What Happened In The El Clasico Between Ceballos And Gavi

Ceballos came in as a second-half substitute and was ready to get in on the action with his national team mates in midfield.

Gavi appeared to have taken the ball away from Ceballos, but the Spanish midfielder aggressively kicked Robert Lewandowski.

That appeared to have angered Gavi, who badged into Ceballos, and he went straight to the ground.

The Real Madrid fans were not having it, and they called for Gavi to be sent off.

However, the player was pardoned, and the game continued.

The incident came after Frank Kessie scored the winner in the late minute of the match to end Real Madrid’s hope of
closing the gap between them and FC Barcelona.

However, this is not the first time two Spanish players will clash in the El Clasico.

When Barcelona defeated Real Madrid by 3-0, Ceballos was caught dragging Gavi’s hair, which stoked the rumors that the team is currently not united.

Also in 2017, Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique clashed after the conclusion of the El Clasico.

It lasted for a long time, and both of them exchanged words.

It was one of the most entertaining feuds between two Spanish players.

The rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid had been an issue, and it has been there since Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola’s time together.

Spain’s match in the Euro 2024 Qualifiers is a pre-Luis Enrique’s era, and it is expected to be a nice one for the manager going forward.

The first match is against Norway on March 25, 2023, and it is expected to be a less difficult match for the Spanish side due to the absence of Norway’s talisman Erling Haaland.

The second match comes up against Scotland on March 28, 2023, before the resumption of club football in April.
