Daley Blind, former Manchester United defender has parted ways with Eredivisie powerhouse Ajax after the two parties agreed to a contract termination.

To become a free agent, Daley Blind has agreed to end his four-year, trophy-filled contract with Ajax six months early. This brings an end to his time at his childhood club.

According to the club’s official website, Blind and the Eredivisie winners have mutually decided to terminate the 32-year-old current contract, which had six more months left before it expired.

The former Manchester United defender’s contract with Ajax has ended, allowing him to choose another club. According to rumours in Holland and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Royal Antwerp in Belgium is interested in signing the seasoned center-back.

According to additional sources, His father, Danny Blind, a former Ajax defender, and Holland international followed his son out of the Amsterdam Arena and gave up his managerial position.

Edwin van der Sar, the Chief Executive of Ajax, stated: “We have struck a contract termination deal with Daley Blind during the past several days. I’m hoping he can finish his illustrious career with a different team.

Blind, who graduated from Ajax’s academy, played 333 times for the Amsterdam club throughout two four-year stretches, from 2008 to 2014 and then from 2018 to 2022, where he won the Eredivisie seven times.

He also twice won the Johan Cruyff shield and the KNVB Cup, and in 2013 he was awarded Ajax’s player of the year before being crowned the Eredivisie’s player of the year in 2014. Blind scored 13 goals for Ajax.

The 32-year-old Dutchman has played 18 times for Ajax this season in both the Champions League and the Eredivisie.

Blind spent four years at Manchester United between his two stints at Ajax, during which time the Red Devils’ most recent championships the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Europa League, and Community Shield were won.

Blind scored in the Netherlands’ round-of-16 victory over the United States and played nearly the entire time as they advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals in Qatar this year.

Blind joins a long list of notable players who have departed the club in recent years. Frenkie de Jong, Antony, Ryan Gravenberch, and manager Erik ten Hag are just a few of those who have left the club in pursuit of new opportunities, marking the end of an era for the Dutch giants.

Blind was born on March 9, 1990, which makes him a 32-year-old football star. His parents are Danny Blind (father) and Yvonne Blind (Mother) in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Blind began his career in the youth academy of his hometown club, Ajax, the same club where his father Danny made his name as a professional footballer.
