Cristiano Ronaldo who is the current captain of Al-Nassr has urged the club to sign his fellow countryman Pepe from FC Porto.
Pepe who is 40 years old is a veteran defender who plays as a defensive midfielder or center-back for FC Porto and Portugal’s national team.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe were former teammates at Real Madrid and the both were handy in the trophies that the Los Blancos won between 2007 and 2017.
The news was brought to light by the Portuguese football transfer guru Pedro Almeida, who disclosed it on his Twitter handle (@pedrogva6) on Friday.
“Cristiano Ronaldo asked to Al-Nassr board to sign #Pepe, the Portuguese player is at the end of contract with Porto. #AlNassr”

The friendship between Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the strongest in modern-day football, and also the most famous of the Portuguese national team.
The two never leave each other’s side during training with the national team and have been the foremost leaders in the team for decades.
