Juventus player Cristiano Ronaldo, 35, tested positive for Coronavirus today, and he might have contracted the virus while on international duty with his national team Portugal. Portugal’s Football Federation broke the news earlier today that Cristiano Ronald tested positive for Covid-19. Kylian Mbappe may have been infected too and he may be forced to take another covid test.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the National Team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden,” the federation said in a statement. “The Portuguese international is doing well, without symptoms, and in isolation.”
The whole Portugal national team players were tested after Ronaldo’s covid-19 test returned a positive result. According to the team’s physician, the rest of the team tested negative. And this means that Portugal’s upcoming match against Sweeding tomorrow will go on as scheduled.
PSG player Kylian Mbappe may be forced to undergo a mandatory test since he was in very close contact with Ronaldo after the match. They both talked closely with no mask on and they took a picture together.
