Cristiano Ronaldo is about to amaze the world once again following reports that the former Real Madrid star is set to appear in a WWE show in Saudi Arabia.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) are reportedly working on a deal to secure an appearance by the Al Nassr star at the forthcoming WWE Crown Jewel event in the Middle East.

It is believed that the company expects the five-time UEFA Champions League winner to be a notable guest at the wrestling event, which is declared to take place in November.

The 38-year-old is currently playing in the Middle East with Al Nassr where he penned a two-and-a-half-year deal worth 15 million pounds a month salary in December 2022 after he left Manchester United by mutual consent.

Cristiano Ronaldo has already massively elevated football in Saudi Arabia which influenced several European stars to join the league during the just-concluded summer transfer window.

However, the former frontman is undoubtedly enjoying life in the Middle East since his arrival, he’s been one of the most crucial parts of the Saudi Arabia outfit Al Nassr.

What happened?

WWE was purchased by UFC owners Endeavor in April 2023, and they are now willing to boost the Crown Jewel event and generate massive revenue by having Ronaldo present at the show in exchange for a huge appearance cost.

The company has held four past Crown Jewel events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as well as several other shows.

Meanwhile, one of the events held in the Middle East this year was the Night of Champions hosted in the city of Jeddah in May.

The WWE’s new owners are striving to cash in on Ronaldo’s appearance when they go back to the Country and they are keeping facts under jackets but hope that like other well-known superstars, the former Sporting CP forward can enter the Squared club.

Mike Tyson and Ronda Rousey are rare heroes from other sports to have been in different wrestling events around the world, and Ronaldo’s presence for some reason could give WWE a reasonable massive revenue boost.

Endeavour are intending to revolutionize wrestling, having attained a consolidation with UFC in April, and are also in discussions to bring back Johnson Dwayne popularly known as The Rock.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be the first football star that appear in a wrestling event, Wyne Rooney did so in 2015. The former England captain was in the front row of the crowd at one of the company’s events in Manchester and memorably attacked Wade Barrett.

According to a Spanish outlet, Ronaldo would receive a huge appearance payment if he agreed to feature at the showpiece event.

Meanwhile, according to Wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp who speculated by Tweeting; “I’ve asked WWE about the rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo-WWE appearances, and they didn’t have an answer”.

Apollo Crews, one of the Wrestling stars, on the other hand, said Cristiano Ronaldo could develop a career in wrestling after he called it quits on professional football.
