Cristiano Ronaldo scored a free-kick after seven months as he gave Al-Nassr a much-needed win over Damak FC on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
The win took Al-Nassr’s tally to 11 victories in the Saudi Professional League as the side continue their spectacular unbeaten run.
Damak started off on the winning side, but two spectacular free-kicks from Ronaldo and Talisca ensured Al-Nassr victory.
Cristiano Ronaldo made sure the fans smiled home despite Damak giving the host a tough time with their structure and technicality.
He barely had chances in the match but Damak’s Assan Ceesay had a better chance to score but failed to convert it.
In the stoppage time of the first half, Nkoudou took advantage of a spectacular pass and scored to heap pressure on the hosts.
However, Brazilian star Talisca scored from a direct kick to put Al-Nassr back in the game before Ronaldo scored the winner to make it 2-1.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 61st career free-kick and also his 50th strike in club football from a direct kick.
Before scoring a free-kick on Saturday, October 21, Ronaldo last scored a free-kick in March 2023. He is still 4 behind his archrival Lionel Messi’s free-kicks.
The goal was his 11th Saudi Pro League strike for Al Nassr this season in 9 games and he is set to cross his 14 goal tally in 16 appearances for the club which he recorded last season.
