Cristiano Ronaldo has said goodbye to his teammates at Juventus and did not train with the team today, August 27, 2021, despite showing up at the club’s training ground.

Reports claimed that the 36-year-old Juventus football star came to the club’s Continassa training ground to empty his locker ahead of his potential exit from the Italian Serie A club.

Ronaldo who left the training ground on Wednesday after sustaining an arm injury during training spent over one hour at the training ground earlier today before he left.

He reportedly moved his personal belongings away from the training facility in anticipation of his exit from Juventus which is expected to happen before August 31, 2021.

Cristiano Ronaldo who joined Juventus from Real Madrid on July 10, 2018, for a transfer fee worth €117 million, still has a season left on his contract with the Italian club.

Reports claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo has told Juventus through his agent, Jorge Mendes that he is no longer interested in playing for the Italian Serie A club.

On the other hand, Juventus are ready to let him go because of his heavy wage bill which is around £500,000-per-week.

All these reports are coming amidst the ongoing talks between Ronaldo’s agent and Manchester City. The Premier League club that were not planning to sign Ronaldo this summer suddenly decided to go for him when they could not sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester City are ready to work together, the only problem is the financial aspect of the deal.

The 36-year-old Portuguese striker has just a season on his contract with Juventus. Hence, Juventus would not allow the Portuguese striker to leave the club for free. They want Manchester City to pay at least €25 million for the services of the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Also, Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent his reportedly trying to push Manchester City to continue to pay Ronaldo his current wages which are £500,000-per-week.

However, Manchester City have a different idea about the whole process. The Premier League club are willing to offer Ronaldo a two-year deal which will earn him just €15 million per season.

Also, Manchester City are not interested in paying the €25 million Juventus are asking for. The Premier League club want to sign the 36-year-old Portuguese football icon for free.

If Manchester City manage to find a way to sign Ronaldo this summer, the Portuguese icon will face Paris Saint Germain that signed his career rival, Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona earlier in August in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Manchester City are in Group A of the 2021-2022 UEFA Champions League campaign alongside PSG, RB Leipzig, and Club Bruges.
