Cristiano Ronaldo hints at his return to Manchester United as the Portuguese superstar labeled it as a “disaster”.

As reports about Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United grow, the player reportedly called his return to the club a “failure” in a book.

The Portuguese great player left the Red Devils back in 2009 for an £80 million move to Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, but he came back to Old Trafford last summer.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s return has not been easy, and the striker has expressed his dissatisfaction with it in a new book that will be published next month.

According to sources, everything has been revealed in the book Messi vs. Ronaldo: One Rivalry, Two GOATs, and the Era That Remade the World’s Game, which detailed Ronaldo’s spectacular career.

It shows that Cristiano Ronaldo had expressed his displeasure with interim head coach Ralf Rangnick by saying, “This is a disaster,” to a FIFA official.

The lack of investment in the Carrington training facility and the club’s stagnation since he left more than ten years ago are just a few aspects that have made life difficult for Ronaldo since his comeback.

Above all, he also gave off a highly astonished expression at the player’s level of dedication to maintaining top form.

But all of that, Cristiano Ronaldo remained Manchester United’s leading scorer last season with 24 goals over 39 matches in all competitions, despite still cutting a disappointing figure.

As a result of what appears to be a conflict between Ronaldo and new manager Erik ten Hag, things have gone from bad to worse for the forward this season.

The forward has only played 13 times across all competitions, with most of those appearances coming off the bench.

After refusing to come off the bench in United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham earlier this month, he was even kicked out of the first-team squad, forcing him to train with the under-21s and miss the match against Chelsea.

In their 3-0 Europa League triumph over Sheriff on Thursday night, the former Juventus player scored after being summoned back into the lineup.

After just making two starts in the Premier League so far this season after wanting to leave in the summer, his return to the fold won’t influence his desire to leave Old Trafford in January.

Whatever Ronaldo desires in January, he must play right now, especially with the 2022 World Cup approaching.

Ten Hag resisted commenting on whether the former Real Madrid and Juventus star had forced his way into the starting lineup for the match against West Ham following Thursday night’s absence of Anthony Martial.

However, the Dutchman predicted that Ronaldo would score a lot more if he stayed at United past January and took use of the opportunities that the team was giving him.

When asked if Cristiano Ronaldo could match his performance from last season, Ten Hag responded, “It depends on him. But I believe that when you add up all the opportunities that he has created and that his team has given him in recent weeks, you can see that he is still capable of moving into advantageous positions and finishing them. Yes, I believe it is conceivable.”

Meanwhile, Gakpo, a PSV star, is still a top target at Old Trafford.

Erik Ten Hag wants Cody Gakpo to join Manchester United immediately because he is “impatient” awaiting changes at Manchester United.

Manchester United is reportedly in the lead in the hunt to sign the Dutch international and is prepared to pay £40 million to beat out Arsenal for his services.
