The emotion of Cristiano Ronaldo after being eliminated from the Champions League has resurfaced after the Manchester United legend requested a transfer.
After requesting to depart if a “acceptable offer” is received for him, the Portuguese shook the Old Trafford club to its very foundation.
The Portuguese player missed two consecutive days of training, but the Red Devils are emphatic that he is “not for sale.” When the club commenced pre-season, he did not show up. The excuse for his absence was “family reasons”.
Twelve years after leaving for Real Madrid, Ronaldo made a spectacular return to United last summer from Juventus.
Despite his comeback, he was unable to motivate a hopeless United squad; they were unable to advance past the semifinals of the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Champions League

Their league performance was also severely lacking as they slumped to a sixth-place finish with the team’s lowest amount of Premier League points.
Ronaldo wants to go on because he wants to play in Europe’s top league, but United is doomed to spend the upcoming season in the Europa League.
And now, footage of Ronaldo’s reaction to Juventus’ shocking elimination from the 2021 Champions League against Porto has reappeared.
As part of Amazon’s “All or Nothing” documentary series, which followed the Turin club for the 20/21 season, Ronaldo’s response in the locker room was captured on camera. It recorded behind-the-scenes video for the enjoyment of the audience.
After the loss, Ronaldo appeared despondent as he entered the locker room. He started crying as soon as he sat down, with his hands on his head. He was then comforted by a Juventus staff member.
He is the competition’s all-time leading scorer and a five-time Champions League winner, but still has a burning desire to take home the title once again. For the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, the competition is extremely important.
Despite the forgettable 21–22 United season, Ronaldo did put on several spectacular displays. Son Heung Min and Mo Salah, who shared the Golden Boot award are the only players that outscored him. Ronaldo finished the season with 18 goals in the Premier League, therefore, he was inducted into the PFA Team of the Year.
The Portuguese football icon saved the squad numerous times by scoring vital late goals while United struggled in the group stage. If it weren’t for Ronaldo, United would have exited Europe far sooner.
Will Ronaldo travel with United when they depart on their preseason tour of Thailand and Australia at the end of the week? Only time can tell.
