Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez has revealed that she recently spent four days in hospital for a troubling ailment.
The 30-year-old shared a health update on her Instagram story which explained the news.
She said: ‘Finally back home! I spent four days in the hospital with pneumonia, I’m better now but still recovering at home with my family.
“I have to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff members, doctors, nurses and everyone at the hospital… they took care of me so wonderfully and I am very grateful for that.
”Thank you all for such a great stay.”
The Sun reported that Rodriguez was admitted to Saudi German Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she is based with Ronaldo.
The influencer and model has been with the Portuguese superstar since 2016 after they met at a Gucci retail store in Madrid.
They have two children together, while Ronaldo has three other children from previous relationships.
Cristiano Ronaldo recent performances for Al-Nassr
During Rodriguez’s time in hospital, Ronaldo played two games for Al-Nassr, scoring in a 2-1 Saudi Pro League victory over Al-Shabab before his side won 1-0 against Iranian outfit Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League.
When Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023, it was reported that alongside Rodriguez, they were given permission by the rulers of the kingdom to live together.
This was an exception to the rule that unmarried couples are not allowed to live together in Saudi Arabia. It is believed Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence and Saudi football authority birthed a nexus that cracked Saudi’s stringent rules on relationship as it applies to the footballer.
It is pertinent to note here that Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are not officially married but have lived together for over a decade and bore children. This put them at odds with Saudi rules which frowns at cohabitation.

For Rodriguez, she was ecstatic of moving in with the footballer to Saudi Arabia despite the negative reports on how her relationship with the footballer is viewed by Saudi laws.
Speaking in the latest season of her hit Netflix reality show, ‘I Am Georgina’, Rodriguez revealed how elated she was once she learned Ronaldo was moving to the Middle East at the end of 2022.
‘When Cris told me he was going to play for Al-Nassr, I was so relieved because I really wanted to leave Manchester,’ Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez added: ‘I knew something big was waiting for us and we were highly motivated. I was very happy to come to Saudi Arabia’.
However, the couple and their kids’ transition to life in Saudi Arabia was not smooth sailing.
‘It all happened so quickly,’ Rodriguez said. ‘At the beginning, I had some ups and downs because we had never lived in a hotel for so long. There were days when I didn’t want anyone to see me, but overall, I was very excited.”

Portuguese outlets say the beautiful blonde was initially struggling to adjust to life in Saudi Arabia with her relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo strained.
However, the power couple would later come out to debunk the report and reaffirm their love for each other. Since then, the have been together and living happily. Notably, Ronaldo has towered with brilliance in the Saudi Pro league but has struggled with a subdued Al-Nassr, outshone by domestic rivals Al-Hilal.
