Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking forward to adding to the number of trophies he has won as a footballer. Winning the Coppa Italia final will make it trophy number 30 for the Portugues star.

The Bianconerri will be facing Napoli, who knocked out Inter Milan in the last four 2-1 on aggregate. Juventus coach will be facing his former club as well, and he is looking for his first trophy as Juventus coach fees days to the resumption of Serie A actions.

Will Sarri win this time around?

Sarri had, in an interview, said playing a different tournament at a time favors the club, and it looks like this would do the magic. The Italian domestic cup competition would be wrapped up tonight, and they will concentrate on the league before finally resuming Champions League action in August.

Juventus, on the other, is also chasing a record 14th Italian Cup against the five-time winners in Rome. Juventus got to the final after playing 1-1 aggregate against AC Milan, and they progressed to the final courtesy of the away goal rule.

Napoli that had earlier in the current season defeated Juventus in the Serie A, ended the Turin giants’ four-year cup-winning streak last season.

Sarri returned to Italy and took over the top job after a sojourn in England with Chelsea, during which the Premier League side won the Europa League. Before taking Chelsea’s role, the 61-year-old spent three seasons with Napoli, battling Juventus for the title, but success had eluded him on several occasions.

It is therefore hoped that the tactician would lift the trophy this time around with the Bianconerri.

Cristiano Ronaldo on the brink of a milestone

Although he missed a penalty in Friday’s semi-final against AC Milan, Ronaldo is expected to be in the starting line up for Juventus. Having won the Serie A in his debut season with the Turin giant, the Portuguese would be delighted to have his hand on the domestic trophy.

Napoli winger Dries Mertens, who broke the club’s all-time scoring record in the semi-final against Inter Milan, is also expected to start upfront alongside, Arkadiusz Milik and Lorenzo Insigne in their usual trident forward.
