Cristiano Ronaldo led Al Nassr to a historic win against Abha Club on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.

The former Manchester United forward’s first-half hat-trick fired the Riyad-based team to score eight goals without conceding against Abha.

However, according to reports, the victory is the biggest in the history of the club in the Saudi Professional League.

Cristiano Ronaldo bagged his 65th career hat-trick in the first half as Al-Nassr ran riot against Abha on Tuesday night.

There was an obvious gulf in quality between the two teams as the visitors dominated proceedings right from the kick-off.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first of his two free-kick goals in the 11th minute after Abdulmajeed Al-Sulaiheem was fouled right on the edge of the box. He took a low free-kick along the ground which soured past a hapless Ciprian Tatarusanu.

The former Real Madrid star converted yet another set-piece 10 minutes later, this time from nearly 20 yards away as his powerful strike went through the wall and into the top corner.

The 39-year-old then assisted Sadio Mane who got his name on the score sheet with a simple tap-in.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the former Manchester United, and Juventus star completed his hat-trick from a quick counter-attack in the 42nd minute. He lobbed the ball over Tatarusanu who came off his line.

Just minutes before the referee blew the half-time whistle, the Portuguese completed a second assist as Al-Sulaiheem netted the team’s fifth goal.

The five-time Champions League winner was subbed off at half-time but Al-Nassr stayed too hot to handle for a struggling Abha side as they pumped in three more goals to complete the rout.

Abdulrahman Ghareeb and a brace from Abdulaziz Al-Aliwa rounded out an 8-0 triumph and a remarkable outing for the away side.

What’s next for Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr?

The Portuguese star and his teammates will be seen next in action on Friday, April 5, as they take on Damac in another away league clash.

In addition, Ronaldo has scored 29 goals and provided 11 assists in 24 Saudi Pro League games this season and will be looking forward to extending his tally when Al Nassr battles Damac on Friday.
