Former Manchester United legend and Al-Nassr new signing Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly invited four of his former Old Trafford teammates to come watch him play for his new side in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo left Old Trafford in a surly zone last season but his relationship with his former United teammates stands firm.
The five-time Ballon d’Or holder has been in touch with four of his closest acquaintances at the North London club.
The 37-year-old Ronaldo Portuguese captain is currently building a luxury home on the outskirts of Lisbon and has invited his closest friends for a get-together over the summer.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus legendary forward has also asked if his acquaintances at United would like to watch him play for his new club in the Middle East if their schedules at Old Trafford permit it.
And according to the Sun, Ronaldo’s closest friends at Manchester United whom he has invited are Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and Raphael Varane.
The invited players, being Ronaldo’s closest friends are to join him on holiday, either in Saudi Arabia if they are free or travel to Portugal, where the Portuguese captain is in the process of building a large mansion in Lisbon.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo departs from Old Trafford in acrimonious circumstances last November, which denied him the opportunity to say goodbye to his pals and colleagues at the North England club.
Ronaldo got axed and got his contract at Manchester United terminated after reprimanding the coach, Ten Hag, and condemning the club’s ownership, the Glazers in a bombshell TV interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan.
The 37-year-old Portuguese subsequently joined Al-Nassr in a deal worth £170 million per season, making him the richest football deal ever.
And on his departure from Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo organized for his luxury cars to be moved to his home country Portugal, where they will take up residence at his new building in Lisbon.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo flopped as Al-Ittihad bundled Al-Nassr out of the 2022-2023 Saudi Super Cup semifinal.
The five-time Ballon d’Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo suffered taunting chants from Al-Ittihad fans, who hailed his long-time rival, Lionel Messi.
Al-Nassr fans will hope to see the Portuguese skipper Ronaldo prove his worth and impress them in the next fixtures.
Ronaldo will next be seen in action with his invited Old Trafford pals expected to be there as Al-Nassr will lock horns with Al Fateh on Friday, 3rd of February.
On the other hand, his invited acquaintances at Manchester United will have back-to-back home fixtures.
Their first match is against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup on the 1st of February before clashing with Crystal Palace and then bouncing on Leeds United in the Premier League campaign.
