Juventus and Portugal talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo is very happy to see his mother, Maria Dolores recover from stroke-related illness. The footballer’s mother was admitted earlier this month at a hospital in Portugal where she underwent an operation for stroke.

It was reported that Dolores was admitted to Doctor Nelio Hospital in Mendonça de Funchal in her community in Portugal where she underwent treatment when her health case relapsed earlier this month. This was what caused the Juventus star to travel from Italy to Portugal after the Juventus match against Inter Milan which ended in favor of Juventus. Ronaldo traveled to Portugal on March 9 to see his ailing mother who has been admitted to the hospital.

Interestingly, it was not long after Ronaldo got to Portugal that one of his teammates, Daniele Rugani was tested positive for Coronavirus. This propelled a sanction of self-isolation upon every player of the team including Cristiano Ronaldo who has traveled to Portugal to see his mother. Ronaldo stayed in self-isolation for about two weeks before he was allowed to go out when it was certain that five times Balon d’Or winner is negative.

Cristiano Ronaldo seems very happy to share a picture of his mother online who has fully recovered from the illness. The picture featured Ronaldo, his mother and his sisters all in the gym.

Though the intention of the star footballer is to visit his ailing mother for probably a few days before he returns to his place of work. However, little did he know that he will be spending more time in Portugal than expected. The outbreak of Coronavirus has caused all football activities to be suspended. All football players are currently at home to observe the Stay at Home order by the government.

Ronaldo advised others to look after their families and loved ones especially in this present turbulent time that the world is going through.
