Cristiano Ronaldo Followed His Al-Nassr Team-mates on Instagram Amidst Thursday’s Potential Debut

    Five-time Ballon d’Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo has followed his new Al-Nassr team-mates on Instagram after agreeing to a £175m-a-year deal with the Saudi Arabia club.

    The 37-year-old Portuguese skipper, whose contract at Manchester United was mutually terminated in November, following his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan seems to find solace in his swap from Europe to Asia.

    Cristiano Ronaldo was displayed as an Al-Nassr player on Tuesday, January 3, and has already been up and doing.

    The former Real Madrid legendary goal scorer, Ronaldo has met up with his new teammates at the Saudi club and he’s also following them on Instagram.

    Among Al-Nassr players Ronaldo is following on Instagram include former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, ex-Spain Under-21 international Alvaro Gonzalez, and ex-Brazilian Under-23 striker Anderson Talisca.

    Amidst following them on his social media account, the Portuguese captain was spotted moving around the Al-Nassr dressing room, exchanging pleasantries with his elated teammates.

    Upon his arrival at the Saudi club, Ronaldo landed in Riyadh, the Al-Nassr medical center where he completed his medical.

    After completing his medical and speaking to the media, he also met Al-Nassr’s supporters at the club’s home ground, Mrsool Park.

    Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at Al-Nassr has already spurred great influence at the Saudi club, which previously had around 860,000 followers before the global icon left European football for the Middle East.

    The five-time Ballon d’Or victor has certainly done wonders for his new club Al-Nassr who now has 7.9 million followers on Instagram a few days after his arrival.

    Meanwhile, Ronaldo, who wanted to go to a Champions League club informed the media during his welcome ceremony at Al-Nassr that he turned down offers across Europe and South America before finally signing with the Saudi club.

    Ronaldo added that he was mindful of the current group of players at Al-Nassr and he would do his possible best to help them win trophies.

    He said: ”I just want to say I feel very happy to be here. It’s a big challenge for me to change from Europe to Asia but I know the group and it’s fantastic.”

    ”I’m here to help the team to win stuff, to enjoy and give my best.”

    Al-Nassr supporters may not have to wait for long before their new signing makes his debut as Ronaldo could feature on Thursday if he is considered to be fit enough to play.

    Al-Nassr will clash with Al Ta’ee at home Tomorrow, January 5, and coach Rudi Garcia could choose to hand Ronaldo his debut if he’s deemed fit to play.

    Meanwhile, the all-time legendary goal machine found the back of the net as Al-Nassr trained ahead of their league match against Al Tree.
