Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to use his 36th birthday celebration to mark not just the day he was born but his 20th anniversary as a Professional Footballer.

The Portugal football icon turned 36-year-old on February 5, 2021, and in one of the ways he chose to celebrate his day, he shared a picture of himself and his family posing at a dining table.

In the beautiful family picture, Cristiano Ronaldo’s beautiful lover, Georgina Rodríguez, could be seen standing behind Ronaldo’s daughters Eva and Alana Martina.

The celebrant’s first son, Cristiano Junior was present and took a pose next to his father’s second son Mateo, the twin brother of Eva.

A gigantic birthday cake was placed on the table designed with the colors of Portugal’s national flag, and the new age of the 5 time Ballon d’Or winner was boldly engraved on the cake.

In the lengthy caption that accompanied the beautiful family picture, Cristiano Ronaldo noted how unbelievable it is that he has already turned 36-year-old. He said it feels like yesterday and he still remembers his first ball, his first team, and his first goal.

“From Madeira to Lisbon, from Lisbon to Manchester, from Manchester to Madrid, from Madrid to Turin, but above all, from the bottom of my heart to the world”, Ronaldo wrote.

“I’ve given everything I could, I never held back and I’ve always tried to deliver the best possible version of me. In return, you gave me your love and admiration, your presence, and your unconditional support. And for that, I’ll never be able to thank you enough. I couldn’t have done without you.”

Just as he mentioned in the first part of his birthday message to his over 260 million Instagram followers, Cristiano Ronaldo has played in Lisbon for Sporting Lisbon (2002 to 2003), in Manchester for Manchester United (2003 to 2009), in Madrid for Real Madrid (2009 to 2018), and now in Turin for Juventus.

He has won a title in all those clubs but where he enjoyed the highest amount of club success was at Manchester United where he won 9 major titles including three Premier League titles, and at Real Madrid where he won 14 major titles including four UEFA Champions League titles.

Cristiano Ronaldo who has 5 Ballon d’Or, one at Manchester United, and four at Real Madrid, ‘holds the records for the most goals (134) and assists (41) in the history of the UEFA Champions League.

‘He is one of the few recorded players to have made over 1,000 professional career appearances and has scored over 780 senior career goals for club and country. He is also the second male to score 100 international goals and the first European man to achieve the feat.’

“As I celebrate my 36th birthday and my 20th year as a professional footballer, I’m sorry that I can’t promise you 20 more years of this”, Ronaldo added to his birthday message to his fans. “But what I can promise you, is that as long as I keep going, you’ll never receive less than 100% from me!

“Thank you once again for all your support and your kind messages and initiatives during this day. It means a lot to me and you all have a special place in my heart.”
