Cristiano Ronaldo has stirred up an outrageous scene after he appeared to make a defiant gesture toward Saudi fans following Al-Nassr’s 2-0 loss to Al-Hilal on Tuesday night, April 18.
The veteran Portuguese forward Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes as his Saudi club Al-Nassr lost 2-0 to Ighalo’s Al-Hilal.
Meanwhile, the five-time Ballon d’Or holder was left furious by the result and he stormed off the pitch after the game.
However, a video released on social media seems to show Ronaldo grabbing his genitals in response to some fans chanting the name of his rival Lionel Messi.
Football fans inside the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh were captured singing ‘Messi! Messi! Messi!’ repeatedly to mock Ronaldo.
And as the Portuguese playmaker heads for the tunnel, Ronaldo appears to grab his genital and pulled it in the direction of the fans.
The 38-year-old Ronaldo appeared to aim an X-rated gesture as he hold and shook his genitals toward the fans.
As shown in the footage, Ronaldo trudged off the field and past the media zone, before holding his crotch and moving it around.
Toward the end of the video, Ronaldo appears to look up at the “annoying fans” chanting the name of his rival with a grin on his face.
Cristiano Ronaldo Foul opponent in WWE style
Earlier in the match, Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines after fouling one of Al-Hilal players in a chokehold.
The former Manchester United star made a challenge that resembled something more likely to be seen in a WWE ring while his side were 1-0 down on Tuesday night.
Ronaldo jumped on his opponent, wrapping his right arm around his neck before using his body weight to wrestle him down to the ground.
Despite the offensive conduct from the 38-year-old, Ronaldo was only given a yellow card by former Premier League referee Michael Oliver, who was officiating the match.
Ronaldo made the jump without any clear attempt to play the aerial ball that was above his head.
The Portuguese star was booked for the foul and with about 15 minutes to go, Ronaldo eventually find the net after snatching a long ball before firing home, only to be controversially flagged offside.
The Portuguese football maestro has scored 11 goals in 11 League appearances since he joined Al-Nassr on a massive three-year contract in December after his contract at Old Trafford was terminated.
It now remains to be seen if the veteran Portuguese star will be charged for his controversial action toward the Saudi fans.
