Cristiano Ronaldo, a star for Manchester United, has presented a disillusioned impression for the team thus far in the new Premier League season.

One of the worst days in Manchester United’s recent history was August 14, 2022. The Red Devils were destroyed 4-0 by Brentford in Erik ten Hag’s second league game in charge since his departure from Ajax this summer.

After losing to Brighton 2-1 at home in their opening game of 2022–23, United knew that only a victory would do. However, things didn’t go according to plan in London.

In the 35th minute of play, goals by Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee, and Bryan Mbeumo gave Brentford a 4-0 lead.

Newcomers Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw were both substituted by Ten Hag at halftime as Thomas Frank’s team profited fully from some dismal United defence.

After the full-time whistle sounded, the Red Devils’ situation became considerably worse, and the game ended in a 4-0 demolition of United.

A furious Cristiano Ronaldo rushed off the field and snubbed Steve McClaren in the process, refusing to acknowledge the fans who had traveled far to the Gtech Community Stadium.

Considering Manchester United isn’t participating in the Champions League this season, Ronaldo consciously wants to leave the club.

His future has been the subject of intense discussion for several months, and following the humiliating loss to Brentford, there has been a significant development in the narrative.

Gary Neville, a TV analyst, criticized the club for failing to bolster the team this summer with quality new additions.

According to him, Manchester United had known for eight to ten months that they need to rebuild the team for the summer.

Despite the holes in other departments of the team, Manchester United are worried about the attitude of their prized asset, Cristiano Ronaldo. They are not happy with his gestures during games and for always walking down the locker room without saluting the fans.

Hence, the Red Devils want to see a change in Ronaldo’s attitude or they might consider terminating his contract, according to Sky Sports News and The Times.

If that happens, it would be good news for the numerous pundits who believe that it would be better for both parties if the Portuguese superstar’s contract with Manchester United ended as soon as possible since it only has one year left to run.

The fact that the 37-year-old scored 24 goals in all club competitions last year is proof that he is still among the top players in the world.

But his current predicament is having a bad effect on both him and Manchester United. The longer it goes on, the more harm it might do to the reputation of the club and the legacy of Ronaldo.

Although nothing significant has happened yet, the former Real Madrid player has been linked with many of Europe’s elite clubs this summer.

Tancredi Palmeri claimed that Ronaldo was recently offered to both AC Milan and Inter Milan, but both of the Milan clubs turned him down.

Now the question is, should the Portuguese super star leave the club and find a better place that can offer him what he wants or stay at Old Trafford for the process of rebuilding?

Cristiano Ronaldo contract termination is a rumour: Manchester United

Manchester United have moved to deny reports they could terminate Ronaldo’s contract if they don’t see a change in his attitude.
The club confirmed through a spokesperson that they have no intention of terminating Ronaldo’s contract, saying: ‘There is no change in the club’s position.

Meanwhile, the 37-year-old had initially asked Man Utd to allow him exit the club should they receive a suitable offer for him. He said this probably because he’s not enjoying his return to Old Trafford as the club incessant failure is an embarrassment to his personality. His displeasure in remaining with the Red devil has been revealed through his recent disdain attitude towards the club and United fans.

Ten Hag

Ten Hag was asked what it was like to manage a player like Ronaldo who wanted to leave the club on Friday ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brentford. He said: ‘That is your assumption [that Ronaldo wishes to depart].

‘That is not what he is telling me. So I deal with the players we have and we plan with him for this season and we have to fit him into the team so he has to come at the right fitness levels so that he can do the job that we expect him to do”
