The match against Al-Ta’ee was due to be played on January 4, but rain sparked electrical issues at the stadium, forcing the game to be delayed by 24 hours.

The heavy downpour at Mrsool Park Stadium, where Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled to a thousand of teeming Al-Nassr fans, was hit with a heavy downpour forcing Al-Nassr to announce the postponement of the game.

Despite the postponement, the game had to be delayed again for 15 minutes as the Mrsool Park Stadium was still waterlogged.

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United in controversial circumstances to join Al-Nassr.

He fell out with the Red Devils after granting a bombshell and explosive interview with Piers Morgan about the poor state of the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed the Al-Nassr deal as a free agent. His Manchester United contract was terminated after the tell-all interview.

The Portuguese attacker had to watch his new team from the stands in the comfort of a leather chair as his new team claimed a 2-0 win thanks to a brace from Talisca.

After his unveiling, Al-Nassr fans and fans of Saudi Arabian football were all eager to see Cristiano Ronaldo make his debut for the club, but it has not been possible for some reasons.

The Saudi club has not been able to register the five-time Ballon d’Or winner as they are at the limit of their foreign player quota.

Al Nassr now have to axe one of their foreign players to make room for Ronaldo in the squad.

There are also still question marks over the two-game ban handed to him by the FA for smashing an Everton fan’s phone last season.

FIFA have ordered Ronaldo to serve his ban, despite claims that Al-Nassr were ready to ignore it so he could play on January 14.

Al-Nassr officials were reportedly keen on searching and plucking possible loopholes in FIFA rules to allow them bring on Cristiano at least in the second game against Al-Shabab.

Al-Shabab are strongly contending for the Saudi Pro League title, and the club is eager to have Ronaldo make an appearance in the game as they hope to thwart Al-Shabab’s title chase.

As things stand, it appears Al-Nassr are not able to find their way through. Hence, Cristiano Ronaldo will miss the next match against Al-Shabab.

The former Manchester United forward will now be making his debut on January 21 against Ettifaq.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed the biggest contract in football history joining Al-Nassr on a two-and-a-half-year deal. He will earn £173million every year at the club till 2025 when his contract expires.
