Real Madrid will enter a fierce battle for their 20th Copa del Rey on the 6th of May after knocking Barcelona out of the Copa Del Rey semi-finals on Wednesday, April 5.

Ancelotti’s side moved onto the Copa Del Rey final with a dominant 4-0 victory over tough rival Barcelona.

The Catalan boss, Xavi, who was looking for a fourth successive El Clasico victory this season, looked set for the final having edged a 1-0 victory in the first leg of the semi-final in Madrid last month.

However, a hattrick from Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema and a goal from Vinicius Jr helped Real Madrid thwart Xavi’s hope in the tie on a 4-1 aggregate.

Real Madrid will now go head-to-head with Osasuna in the Copa Del Rey showpiece final match.

Ancelotti’s men will long for their chances of winning the trophy for the 20th time when they face Osasuna who reached the final after thrashing Athletic Bilbao 2-1 on aggregate on Tuesday, April 4.

Copa Del Rey

Real Madrid vs Osasuna’s Copa Del Rey final will take place on the 6th of May 2023 at the Estadio de La Cartuja.

Which Team is likely to win the 2023 Copa Del Rey final?

Los Blancos are certainly in for a hostile battle against Osasuna in the final showpiece where a highly competitive match is likely to be in store.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti had predicted in February this year that the final would be between Real Madrid and Osasuna.

The rival teams, Osasuna and Real Madrid have played 40 matches up to today.

Among those matches, Osasuna won only 5 games while Real Madrid won 26 matches and drew 9.

With this head-to-head figure, it is lenient to say that Real Madrid have the upper hand over Osasuna.

However, the game of football is full of uncertainties and tables are likely to turn in favor of the less-expected team, especially in an exceptional match like this.

With their current unyielding form that has handed them the chance to lift the Copa Del Rey trophy, Osasuna are likely to prove highly competitive and a tough-to-beat opposition against Madrid.

Jagoba Arrasate’s side are likely to humble Real Madrid’s vigor with their physical and high-intensity approach to the final match.

Both teams are likely to score each other which looks like an excellent option for the Copa Del Rey final reckoning on the three most recent meetings between the sides.

And Karim Benzema is the favorite to open the scoring for the Los Blancos with the Frenchman scoring marvelously for Real in recent games.

Copa Del Rey

Real Madrid still have the chance of winning two trophies this season as they are also in the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they will lock horns with Chelsea.
